The Hideaway, as the name suggests, is really tucked away in a quiet corner of a private estate. It is great if you really want to escape from the world and also have younger children who would like to roam free, play with the animals and in the woods.

The camp is very good for supervision with very defined camp borders so however far your young ones run they are invariably in sight. Around the lodges there is a swing tree , slide area, volleyball, hammock huddle and camp pets. The adjacent woodlands are home to adventure areas, a zip line and lots of den building opportunities.

There is also our new ‘Pamper Pod’ which offers hair dryers, make-up stations and Spa treatments can also be pre-booked. Night skies can be amazing. Everything from the Hideaway involves a car, beaches are within a 15 minute drive. We welcome pets year-round at the Hideaway.

Thornham Bay is our camp which is closest to the beach about a 25 minute walk from the lodges. Adjacent to the camp is Drove Orchards rural market  with a farm shop, Eric’s upmarket fish bar/restaurant, a yurt restaurant,  Gurneys fish smoker, an ice cream parlour and a number of artisan shops. In the village, a short walk away you will find Thornham deli bistro and 3 great pubs including “Norfolk’s Dining Pub of the Year”.

Each Serengeti lodge sleeps 6 and the site layout is very good if you are coming with other families. Home Camp has its own ‘Pamper Pod’ where you will find hair-dryers, straighteners and make-up stations.  Treatments can also be prebooked. There are 3 lodges in the top field which are set apart and therefore ideal for a group getaway.

It’s a great place if you want a quiet beautiful setting but also be able to walk out to places with lots to see and do on the Norfolk coast.

Wild Camp is an exclusive-use site available during the summer holidays. The camp includes five comfortable sleeping bell tents, a 5 metre ‘chill’ tent and an amazing 13m star canopy to enjoy meals or kick back and unwind. Everything is geared to a cool camping experience but without the hassle of pitching or putting away!

Our Wild Camp has a dedicated RV-style support unit which offers a kitchen with gas hob, cooker, chill fridge/freezer . There is also an outdoor kitchen with a giant gas-fired BBQ, stainless steel worktops, sink unit and retractable awning. In addition there is girls and boys loos, amazing hot power-shower-tower, camp fire area, swing balls indeed everything to keep you amused for days on end. The camp can accommodate groups of up to 12 people*. You can also book up to 2 dogs to stay with you.

This year Wild Camp will be located in its own private camp adjacent to Holme Dunes beach and Thornham Bay. The camp is within walking distance of one of Norfolk’s quietest sandy beaches at Holme, adjacent to a wildlife centre and a short stroll from Drove Orchards farm shop and cafe. Here you will find craft and clothes shops, the Yurt restaurant, Eric’s amazing fish and chip bar and the farm shop itself and on sunny days a home-made ice cream stall!. You can also walk into the village of Thornham which has a very popular deli with a restaurant, The Lifeboat – an old smugglers inn, Norfolk’s “Dining Pub of the Year” – The Orange Tree.
